Programmer-turned-Designer that aims to surprise and delight

Making Games since 2012

Playing games and running Dungeons and Dragons sessions with my friends was a hugely formative part of my childhood, but I wouldn’t actually decide to make a career of it until later in life.

Originally wanting to work in film, I always had a desire to tell (and experience) new, interesting stories, but decided to instead take a degree in Information Systems to do something more…practical.

By the end of my undergrad, however, I realized that I needed to do something where I could tell stories and entertain folks instead of the safe thing. So, with the help of some very awesome folks, I was able to make that move into the Games Industry, starting with a Masters Degree at Carnegie Mellon’s Entertainment Technology Center.

I like working with awesome folks, solving interesting problems, coordinating and honing on player fantasies, and creating experiences that people can lose themselves in.

When I’m not playing or making games, I’m probably consuming other forms of media like books, TV and film, or just enjoying spending time with my friends and family.
